Candle Care Instructions

Wooden wick candles provide a special and cozy burn, so it's helpful to know a few tips to get the best experience.

For a smooth start, tilt your candle to help the flame travel along the full length of the wick. Always trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each burn and remove any charred wood for a clean flame.

You might notice a little residue on the sides of the jar due to our coco/apricot wax, but don’t worry—it'll melt away once the candle burns down a bit. For safety and best results, enjoy your candle in 4-hour increments.

Concrete Vessel Care Instructions

Your concrete vessel is protected with a non-toxic, water-based sealer to prevent any wax from seeping through. When the wax gets down to about a quarter inch, you can simply pour it into a paper cup and toss it in the trash. While the vessel might feel warm, concrete typically doesn’t get as hot as glass jars—but it's always good to be careful! Using an oven mitt or something protective when handling it is a smart idea.

Once you've poured out the wax, gently wiggle the wick and clip with a paper towel to remove them easily. Wipe the vessel clean, and you're ready to repurpose it! It makes a stylish holder for succulents, pencils, makeup brushes—whatever you need. Embrace the versatility of your concrete vessel!

Concrete and Your Furniture

Our cement vessels are carefully sanded, cured, and provided with cork bumpers on the bottom. However, since concrete can sometimes have a gritty texture, it’s possible it could scratch delicate surfaces like wood or antique furniture. To keep your surfaces safe, plase always place your candle on a heat-safe surface or a coaster. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any damage.

Soap Care Instructions

To extend the life of your handcrafted soap, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Between uses, let the bar to dry completely.

Each bar contains natural glycerin, a skin-loving humectant that attracts moisture and gives handmade soap its luxurious feel. Because of this, we recommend using a soap saver dish made of silicon or wood to keep your bar lifted and dry between uses.

When lathering, use your hands rather than a washcloth — especially with exfoliating bars — to enjoy a gentle, nourishing cleanse.
